Second Harvest Food Back

Second Harvest (formerly "Survive") was founded in 1980 to alleviate hunger in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, by soliciting, storing and distributing donated food and other commodities to certified charitable agencies involved in feeding the needy.

The Second Harvest Food Bank is the Inland Empire's largest hunger relief organization. Through a web of over 850 charitable resources and food-rescue programs, these agencies serve in excess of 150,000 people each month. They provide emergency food assistance to more than 23 million hungry Americans each year, eight million of whom are children.

Last year, America's Second Harvest distributed 1.7 billion pounds of food to needy Americans, serving all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Our goal is to end hunger in America.
